He was born in Sofia, Bulgaria and began his culinary career at Sheraton Sofia Hotel Balkan. Then he moved to Westin Chosun Hotel in Korea and learnt how to cook Bulgarian traditional barbecue, a vegetarian meal, Bulgarian yogurt and lamb. He completed bartender training as well. He has opened a traditional Bulgarian restaurant <Zelen>, located in Itaewon, Seoul. Zelen means ‘green’ in Bulgarian which he declares his aim: ‘to offer fresh green Bulgarian dishes to Korean people’. He prefers traditional dishes that you can get just in Bulgarian home instead of the dishes localized to fit Korean taste. He is also currently a cast member in Korean TV shows such as JTBC ‘Sumi’s side-dish’, ‘Please Take Care of My Refrigerator’, and ‘Where is my friend’s house’ so he introduces Bulgarian food to the public.
