Chef Tae-Hwan Ryu is owner/chef of Ryunique, located in Seoul’s youngest and trendiest neighborhood, Garosu-gil in Gangnam. He graduated from Hattori Nutrition College in Japan and Le Cordon Bleu in London, and built up his experience over eight years working in kitchens in Tokyo, Sydney and the U.K.

His restaurant, Ryunique, came in 27th place in “Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2015,” and in 79th place in “The World’s Best Restaurants 2015.” He is the actual model for, and supervisor of, a popular cooking webtoon, Michelin Star. He is a member of the advisory committee of the Norwegian Marine Product Committee, as well as an honorary ambassador.
